Project Manager

MAP Strategies, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate with a background in civil engineering, architecture, or construction management to join our Strategic Planning team. This role involves managing civil and infrastructure projects through complex compliance processes within the City of Chicago, State of Illinois, and other U.S. jurisdictions.

Position Overview:
The applicant will work at the office of the regional commuter rail system in Chicago as an embedded MAPS employee to facilitate team collaboration while maintaining coordination with the MAPS office team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and is eager to learn all aspects of entitlement and compliance for commercial real estate and infrastructure projects. This is a growth opportunity within a fast-growing company in the architecture and real estate industry.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in permit expediting and/or project management (infrastructure and transit projects preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil/structural engineering, or construction management

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent written communication
• Client-facing communication skills
• Creative problem-solving and strategy development for project timelines
• Knowledge or willingness to learn building and zoning codes

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with City of Chicago and State of Illinois regulations
• Client management and presentations
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Producing drawings for entitlements or permits

Software Proficiency:

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat Pro
• CRM and project management tools (Salesforce, Smartsheet)
• Google Docs, Sheets, Slides

Salary:

• $75,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience
