Job Title: Construction and Commission Engineer (Subsea and Renewable Asset Installation & Intervention Equipment)
Job Overview: Construction and Commission Engineers will drive the commissioning & testing processes and will work in collaboration with the design, fabrication and project management teams.
Typical equipment - offshore wind turbine foundation deployment systems, ploughs, deck spreads, walk to work systems - amongst others - each system is unique and complex.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
Develop in conjunction with others commissioning plans and procedures for complex equipment design, build and operation
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and others
Installation and Commissioning:
Supervise the installation of subsea and renewable energy equipment.
Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Perform system testing and troubleshooting.
Technical Support:
Provide technical guidance and support to the installation team.
Develop and review technical documentation, including procedures and reports.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Collaboration and Communication:
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Prepare and present progress reports.
Facilitate effective communication among project team members.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or related field) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Experience:
Proven experience in subsea and renewable energy projects.
Familiarity with offshore construction and commissioning processes.
Skills:
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).Work Environment:
Location:
North East England
Offshore and onshore sites, depending on project requirements.
Travel to various project locations may be required.
Conditions:
Work in challenging environments, including offshore and renewable energy fabrication sites.
Adherence to strict safety protocols and procedures.This role is crucial for ensuring the successful deployment and operation of subsea and renewable energy deployment and intervention assets.
