We are currently looking for a Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental for our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering practice with a passion for excellence, innovation, and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will assist and manage ground engineering tasks on numerous schemes around the UK.
The Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental will:
Conduct desk studies, site inspections, and surveys to gather necessary data and insights.
Plan and supervise ground investigation fieldwork to ensure accurate and thorough data collection.
Prepare detailed laboratory testing schedules to facilitate the analysis of collected samples.
Monitor gas and groundwater levels to assess site conditions and potential hazards.
Prepare factual reports on geotechnical and contaminated land findings, contributing to the interpretation and assessment process.
The Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental will have:
A good degree in Earth Sciences, Geology or Civil Engineering.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A good understanding of Information Technology (IT) systems and processes.
Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload.
Excellent written English and verbal skills to be able to effectively communicate, with a keen eye and high level of attention to detail.
At least one-year post-graduate experience in a similar or skill transferrable role is desirable.
