Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Principal Engineer - Structural Engineering (Specialist Structures) to add to their talented, hardworking team in Barrow (onsite full time) on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £65.00 per hour inside IR35

The Role
Within the role of Principal Engineer - Structural Engineering (Specialist Structures) you'll be responsible for:
* Undertake technical reviews, verifies and signs engineering designs
* Articulate, define and document subject expertise, approaches and standards in order to extend business knowledge base.
* Provide technical direction to engineers
* Supporting the development of individuals and teams to enhance skills and competencies, such that technical capability objectives are fully achieved.
In addition, you'll also define the qualification obligations for the assurance hold points during build, test and commissioning, and providing assurance to the Design Authority as to the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation.
You
To succeed within the role of you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:
Engineering Degree BEng/MEng or equivalent or equivalent experience Civil/Mechanical/Structural Based
Member of Professional Institution - IMechE, ICE, IStructE. Chartered Engineer CEng Status or Incorporated Engineer IEng Status nearing CEng Status.
