This is an exciting opportunity for an early career/graduate engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
The role will initially involve developing a sound understanding of geotechnical engineering through a combination of site works and office-based tasks. As the individual develops there will be scope of progression into a design-based role.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Supervise Site Investigation and surveys
· Technical report writing, factual and interpretative.
· Design calculations; including foundations, retaining walls;
· Earthworks assessments Liaison with Contractors and Clients
· Client Care including internal and external clients
General
· At all times work safely, ensuring your own safety and that of others in the Company
· At all times work within all Company procedures and protocols
· Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Company
Person Specification
Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications:
· Degree qualified to a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering or Similar subject
· An MEng or Masters in a related course (desirable, but not essential)
· Some industry experience (up to 2years) desirable, but not essential. Graduate applicants will be considered.
· Strong numerical and analytical skills
· An appreciation of other disciplines which influence geotechnical design, such as structures, highways or rail etc
· Enthusiasm for a career in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering consultancy underpinned through an understanding of our sector and work
· Be dedicated to the delivery of projects, and the development of the team and business as a whole
· Be planned and organised in your approach to work and meeting deadlines
· Be flexible to the needs of the business, and changes to project plans
· Hold a UK drivers' licence or equivalent (essential)
· Access to own vehicle is desirable but not essential.

· Employ effective communication skills, both verbal, written and by email
· Establish effective relationships with clients and fellow team members
· Work methodically and accurately
· Work well on own initiative and as part of a team

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
