Our client is embarking on an exciting new project in Cheshire. We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to lead and manage civil engineering initiatives, with a focus on infrastructure and drainage works.
In this role, you will ensure all project activities align with strict safety standards and adhere to specifications, while being delivered on time and within budget. You'll work closely with dynamic project teams, subcontractors and suppliers playing a key role in the success of this high-profile venture.

Key Responsibilities:
Setting Out and Surveying:
Precisely set out construction works according to drawings, specifications, and site plans.
Conduct comprehensive surveys, ensuring accurate levels are maintained throughout the project.
Effectively use total stations, GPS, and other surveying instruments.
Technical and Quality Control:
Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Ensure all work adheres to required standards and specifications.
Perform quality checks and prepare necessary documentation, such as quality assurance plans and method statements.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
Ensure all work is compliant with health and safety regulations.
Actively participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks.
Monitor and manage the environmental impact, ensuring adherence to environmental legislation.
Project Management Support:
Assist the Project Manager with planning and scheduling construction activities.
Provide technical advice and resolve on-site issues as they arise.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
Prepare and submit regular project reports, highlighting progress, delays, and issues.
Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained before starting work.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly related to infrastructure and drainage.
Proficiency in using modern surveying instruments for setting out.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
Ability to interpret and execute technical drawings and specifications.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Qualifications & Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure and drainage projects.
Proficiency with relevant industry software.
Possession of a CSCS card and other necessary safety certifications.
Valid and clean UK driving license.
Working Conditions:
Full-time, site-based role.
May involve travel to various sites within the UK.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + vehicle.
