Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental

We are currently looking for a Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental for our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering practice with a passion for excellence, innovation, and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will assist and manage ground engineering tasks on numerous schemes around the UK.

The Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental will:

• Conduct desk studies, site inspections, and surveys to gather necessary data and insights.
• Plan and supervise ground investigation fieldwork to ensure accurate and thorough data collection.
• Prepare detailed laboratory testing schedules to facilitate the analysis of collected samples.
• Monitor gas and groundwater levels to assess site conditions and potential hazards.
• Prepare factual reports on geotechnical and contaminated land findings, contributing to the interpretation and assessment process.

The Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental will have:

• A good degree in Earth Sciences, Geology or Civil Engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A good understanding of Information Technology (IT) systems and processes.
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload.
• Excellent written English and verbal skills to be able to effectively communicate, with a keen eye and high level of attention to detail.
• At least one-year post-graduate experience in a similar or skill transferrable role is desirable.
