Graduate Engineer

Walter P. Moore and Associates, Inc. has an opening for a Graduate Engineer in Houston, Texas. 

Job Duties: Perform structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel or other miscellaneous structures; create analysis models and interpret results for 2D and 3D structural frames; assist with construction administrative tasks, including site visits and shop drawing review; understand load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculate applicable loads based on appropriate building codes; assist with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports and other project deliverables while working with the structures team; and prepare technical studies and reports. May telecommute.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering or related field. Must have some education or experience in: 1) SAP2000 and ETABS; 2) Working knowledge of a programming language (Python, R or C); 3) AutoCAD; 4) Advance Steel Design; 5) Advanced Structural Analysis; 6) Structural Dynamics; and 7) Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures
