Merrick & Company is seeking high energy, dynamic and an experienced SUE Project Engineer to support our Geomatics & Infrastructure Engineering Business Units in multiple offices throughout the Front Range of Colorado.
Typical salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $134,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The SUE Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and being the responsible charge on all SUE/utility projects and required deliverables.
- Must have a clear understanding of ASCE 38 standards.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, and identifies project goals, timeliness, and resource requirements for SUE operations.
- Oversees the maintenance of SUE project logs and documentation files.
- Provide technical direction to all field locator staff, responsible for creation and implementation of all SUE procedures.
- Provides project management services and coordinates bid process for specific projects as assigned. Having a current client portfolio for business development is strongly desired.
- Responsible for all facets of SUE operations, attend meetings, provide written or oral reports on progress and be the main SUE resource.
Perform other related duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited school is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of tangible experience in civil and/or utility construction engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of Project Management Experience.
- Experienced with ASCE standard governance of Subsurface Utility Engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado.
