Associate /Associate Designate level Structural Engineer
We are currently looking for an Associate /Associate Designate level Structural Engineer. Our client can consider candidates at Senior Level looking to take the next step, or candidates already working at this level who maybe see a bit of a glass ceiling ahead of them.
Company Specialities:
Our clients company were founded over thirty years ago, and have grown into one of Londons leading Structural Engineering consultancies
They have a vast experience in refurbishment projects, which include commercial as well as residential buildings. In addition, their experience extends in the design of new build structures, as well as design of specialist structural elements including structural glass.
Location: London
Salary: £55-£70k depending on experience Role and Responsibilities:
Tobeconsidered asapotentialAssociate,candidatesshouldbeChartered.Itmaybeacceptable
that a Senior Engineer who has their exam taking place in the near future would also be considered for a role- although becoming an associate will be based, in part, on successfully becoming chartered.
Candidates should have at least six- or seven-years relevant experience within a similar environment(with similar design experience), including:
1.Detailed design of reinforced concrete ,steelwork ,masonry and timber building structures
2.Design of glass structures
3.Structuralsteelworkconnectiondesignanddetailing
4.Temporary works design
5.Letterandreportwriting
6.Siteinspectionandsurveys
Other Details:
Associates will be expected to lead projects, be client facing, have a good understanding of fee proposals and invoicing, and be able to lead a small team. Eventually winning your own work will lead to further possibilities within the organisation, including gaining from the associates bonus scheme, and having the possibility of becoming a partner.
