Job Title: Site Engineer Water
Location: Barsham
Rate: Up to £450 per day (Umbrella CIS)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Start Date: ASAP
Job Overview: The client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Engineer to join the Barsham Site Management Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Construction Manager, Electrical Installation Manager, and Mechanical Installation Manager to ensure the smooth and safe execution of construction operations on-site.
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and assisting in the management of subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning:
·Coordinate all installation activities with the Site Management Team.
·Assist in planning and coordinating subcontractor activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
·Plan the delivery of materials and equipment to maintain the construction schedule.
·Monitor site deliveries and perform quality assurance checks.
·Assist in inspecting subcontractor work against design drawings.
·Raise and log Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Health and Safety:
·Liaise with the Safety Officer on Toolbox Talks and safety-related matters.
·Attend daily site meetings and weekly liaison meetings.
·Ensure subcontractors provide adequate supervision.
·Review and approve subcontractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Construction Management:
·Organise daily work activities for installation teams.
·Ensure work is executed according to approved designs and RAMS.
·Liaise with suppliers and manage site deliveries.
·Advise on equipment requirements for mobile lifting and other tasks.
·Provide weekly progress reports, highlighting any issues to the CM and SMT.
Qualifications:
·Proven experience in construction or site engineering.
·Strong planning and coordination skills.
·Knowledge of health and safety standards.
·Ability to manage subcontractors and work within a team.
