We are currently looking for a Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geothermal for our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering practice with a passion for excellence, innovation, and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will assist and manage ground engineering tasks on numerous schemes around the UK.
The Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geothermal will:
* Conduct desk studies, site inspections, and surveys to gather necessary data and insights.
* Plan and supervise ground investigation fieldwork to ensure accurate and thorough data collection.
* Prepare detailed laboratory testing schedules to facilitate the analysis of collected samples.
* Monitor gas and groundwater levels to assess site conditions and potential hazards.
* Prepare factual reports on geotechnical and contaminated land findings, contributing to the interpretation and assessment process.
The Graduate Engineer - Geotechnical & Geothermal will have:
* A good degree in Earth Sciences, Geology or Civil Engineering.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A good understanding of Information Technology (IT) systems and processes.
* Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload.
* Excellent written English and verbal skills to be able to effectively communicate, with a keen eye and high level of attention to detail.
* At least one-year post-graduate experience in a similar or skill transferrable role is desirable.
