Joining Arup

Our Civil Engineering team is a group of 60 Engineers and Technicians who support private developers, public sector authorities and governments in achieving their aims in shaping our cities to enable, sustain and enhance society.

Our multi-disciplinary civil engineering skills provide a vital contribution to the planning and design of strategic transport infrastructure within urban environments and linking cities. At a city level we provide advice to authorities on the resilience of infrastructure systems to meet current and future needs. We define infrastructure strategies required to meet strategic development aspirations within the UN Sustainable Development Goals framework. Our early involvement, often at a masterplanning stage, enables us to inform emerging plans and designs at a conceptual stage, targeting the short, medium and long-term aspirations to ensure completeness and flexibility.
