Senior CS&A Engineer (Defence Infrastructure) - Contract (Ongoing)
£55 - 65 per hour (DOE) - Inside IR35
Sunderland - Hybrid (mainly remote with occasional office/client site visits)
Our client are an international engineering consultancy with some excellent opportunities in the Defence industry for a Senior CS&A Engineer on a contract basis.
The Senior CS&A Engineer will play a vital role
Responsibilities
·Influence the design and maintenance of key Defence facilities, setting new benchmarks for safety and compliance.
·Lead and justify design changes in high-risk environments, ensuring safety and reliability.
·Create and manage documentation supporting Nuclear Infrastructure Design.
·Justify and lead design changes and concessions.
·Communicate design justifications effectively to safety committees.
·Develop and maintain schedules for Examination, Inspection, Maintenance, and Testing.
·Provide expert technical advice to stakeholders.
·Conduct reviews to ensure compliance and integrity.
Key Experience/Qualifications
·HNC in Civil Engineering
·Basic health and safety training
·Chartered Engineer status
·Training in nuclear safety case development
·A good track record in Civil ENgineerikng, ideally within the UK nuclear industry.
·Proficient in designing and assessing industrial and maritime structures.
·Knowledgeable in relevant codes and standards.
·Proficient in relevant design software and IT tools
This role will require security clearance, which the client are happy to provide. If you do not hold existing UK security clearance, please ensure you meet the criteria before applying.
