Senior Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer

Calibre Search are currently working alongside a leading National Consultancy in order to find a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to help the team with their current workload. They specialise in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical and Marine detailed design and have been one of the most well-respected Consultancies in the UK for a number of years. Due to a healthy forward workload, they are currently looking to appoint an Engineer with 7+ years of post-graduate UK experience for their central Bristol office.
The current Civil Infrastructure team stands at over 20 staff and is made up of an Associate, Principal, Senior, Graduate Engineers and technicians also, the Senior needed will be looking after an already established team for some hands-on design work and also project delivery with a technical input. They currently have a varied workload ranging from large scale logistics developments in the commercial sector and residential schemes of varying scales, from pre-planning through to construction so you will need to show experience in highways, external works, flood risk and drainage at all stages for these types of projects.
As a Senior Engineer you will demonstrate knowledge in Civil Engineering and development infrastructure and have an awareness of construction contracts and terms of appointment as you will liaise with clients, stakeholders, local authorities and highways officers. You will be fully conversant with sectional agreements such as S38, S278, etc and have awareness of business development activities and be responsible for the preparation, issue and management of technical project information, including calculations and drawing information, in accordance with the standard requirements. You will possess excellent analysis and technical design skills in AutoCAD, WinDes / MicroDrainage and Civils3D and also report writing skills (FRA, drainage strategy, specification etc.)
You will gain experience and exposure to working on and delivering some of the biggest projects currently in the UK with a lot of their clients being based in the West Midlands and London. Projects more to date include schemes worth over £75 million which need a Senior Civil Engineer to oversee the design and delivery from a technical point of view.
