Role Description:

Do you thrive on bringing highly complex, bespoke machines to life? As an Osbit Engineer focused on the assembly, commissioning and testing phases of projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our cutting-edge engineering solutions are seamlessly integrated and fully operational. You will work as part of our design, fabrication, and project management teams to drive the commissioning and testing processes from start to finish, ensuring that all systems and equipment meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning process for offshore equipment and systems, including planning, execution, customer facing demonstration and documentation.
  • Working as part of the project team to develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful integration and testing of complex equipment.
  • Conduct site inspections and testing to verify sub-system, and system performance and compliance with design specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and/or hydraulic and/or electrical and/or control technical issues that arise during the commissioning process, and during offshore trials.
  • Provide onsite, offshore and office based technical support and training to customers and end-users on the operation and maintenance of commissioned equipment.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of commissioning activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Project Owners to ensure commissioning milestones are achieved within project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve commissioning processes and methodologies.


About you:

  • Willingness to learn and embrace new challenges. Cross disciplinary training provided.
  • Willingness to travel to offshore sites and customer locations as required.


Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in commissioning engineering, preferably in the offshore or marine industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of offshore equipment and systems.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.


Further Information:

  • Successful applicants will be based at our Riding Mill headquarters in North East England, working on site as required.
  • Working abroad may be required at times.
  • A valid driving licence is required.
