Our client, a leading technological and engineering platform in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a pioneering Offshore Wind project.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform and be responsible for structural analysis tasks by utilising company standard structural analysis software, primarily SACS, as well as STAAD and GT-STRUDL.
Conduct detailed design calculations following the latest industry codes and standards, including DNV GL, API, AISC, EC, and Norsok, as well as statutory rules and regulations.
Review, comment, and approve structural drawings for steel structures based on engineering design.
Prepare high-quality design reports and maintain records in accordance with department operating procedures.
Ensure all activities are executed in line with our client's policies on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters following specific procedures.
Job Requirements:
Experience in the offshore energy industry with a proven track record of delivering high-quality structural engineering.
Degree qualified and ideally chartered or working towards chartered status.
Proficiency in using structural analysis software, particularly SACS, STAAD, and GT-STRUDL.
Strong understanding of the latest industry codes and standards.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of safety and quality.
