Structural Engineer
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience (happy to consider most requirements)We are seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our brilliant clients Marine Department in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of civil engineering works within the marine environment, working alongside a team of skilled engineers and technicians.
Day-to-day of the role:
Design and assessment of marine structures.
Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other designers, providing advice and guidance on engineering matters.
Review designs and drawings for compliance with design standards, best practice guidance, contractual obligations, and client expectations.
Ensure technical output is consistent and maintains high quality.
Comply with Health and Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
Understand construction contracts and terms of appointment, and liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
Develop skills in technical analysis, design software, and AutoCAD.
Attend design meetings, site meetings, and carry out site inspections.
Manage projects within agreed budgetary limits and timescales.
Prepare and issue technical project information, including calculations and drawings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in marine or civil engineering.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Full clean driving license.
Developing proficiency in relevant technical analysis and design software.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
