Are you an experienced structural engineer looking to step up into a leadership role which offers a healthy work-life balance as well as challenging cutting edge projects?

We are working with an established engineering consultancy in Exeter, this business offers a number of property related services and has 3 offices across the region. We are looking for a structural engineer that not only has a passion for design but also for building and maintaining relationships and a progressive outlook on working with new and innovative software. Projects are interesting and diverse and include locally significant work.

Requirements for the role:
BEng/MEng/BSc or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering
Ideally knowledge of software such as Robot, Tekla Building Designer and Revit
Experience working with building structures, both new build and refurb
Strong communication skills; candidates will need to be able to liaise confidently with clients, contractors and architects
Chartered or aspiring to chartership with the ICE or ISTructE
Responsibilities:
Leading a structural department and design team and being the point of contact for clients and stakeholders
Delivering detailed design of building structures both new build and refurb
Liaising with clients, contractors and architects
Mentoring junior members of staff
Running and delivering projects which will increase in size and complexity as you gain experience
Actively involved in recruitment and growth of the team
Helping with the implementation of new software
Have a key role in strategic planning
