Leading civils and groundworks company in Birmingham is looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to oversee civils works and infrastructure works.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Group Health and Safety Director of the company.

The position is working within the Construction industry and will involve being very operational with Health and Safety across several active locations in Birmingham and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities and Duties

Health & Safety Advisor will be required to carry out a variety of duties including:

* Advise and carry out on side audits on Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training assurance

* Investigate Health, Safety and Environmental Incidents

* Complete regular site inspections

* Assist in the delivery of corporate inductions to new employees and contractors

* Provide advice and guidance to site management teams on Health & Safety Matters

* Attend Health & Safety Progress meetings inc client consortium meetings advising on co-ordination of the works and any HSEQT implications that require addressing

* Reviewing of Construction Phase Plan, site specific risk assessments and method statements, traffic management plans throughout the project

Role Requirement - Qualifications and Skills

* Microsoft Literate

* Good communication skills

* Able to solve problems independently as well as part of a a wider team

* Excellent attention to detail

* Able to manage themselves as well as work as part of a wider team

* Manage own diary ensuring targets are met

* Must hold a UK Driving Licence

* NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards

* CSCS Card

Desirable

* NEBOSH Construction Certificate or working towards
