Primary Responsibilities

As Instrumentation Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and improving LabVIEW (National Instruments Corporation) software programs to support data collection in National Airport Pavement Test Facility (NAPTF) and National Airport Pavement and Material Research Center (NAPMRC). Some high-level duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide technical support for programming National Instruments data collection devices using LabVIEW and LabVIEW RT.
  • Provide technical support for developing real-time data processing & analysis, and data display programs. 
  • Provide technical support for developing programs for data storage, data transfer and data query.
  • Provide technical support to develop, evaluate, test, improve, and maintain instrumentation software as directed by the COR.
  • Develop instrumentation software documentation including software technical documentation and User's Guides.

Required Skills

  • Must possess and maintain a current National Instruments, Inc. Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) certification for managing software engineering in LabVIEW and advanced architectures for LabVIEW.
  • Must be proficient with communicating with test equipment & sensors using data communication protocols, including TCP/IP, Network Streams, Serial, HTTP and WebDAV.

Experience/Qualifications

  • 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience must be in LabView programming in real-time data collection systems.

Education

Position requires BS/BA degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or similar discipline from an accredited university with 8 years of experience.  

Location: Onsite – at William J, Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, NJ

Contract/Customer: Federal Agency

Travel: Occasional Travel within US may be involved.

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Other: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency, VISA sponsorship not available.
