The Role
As Associate Director, reporting to the MD, you'll become a vital and valued member of the higher management team. You will have the opportunity to really make the role and the department your own and play to your strengths. A healthy pipeline of work will keep you engaged and on-your-toes as you lead and develop the team from the front. The role will consist a mix of technical design, team management and growth, business development and work winning, fee forecasting, and wider business involvement.
Responsibilities:
Managing the structural team and leading department recruitment
Delegating workloads and overseeing its completion and delivery
Liaising interdepartmentally and with fellow Associate Directors
Ensuring projects are delivered on time to exceptional standards
Involvement in business development and winning new work
Liaising with clients and stakeholders and the face of the department
Involvement in staff training and professional development
Contributing to wider business development decisions
Being hands on with projects where needed, bringing your technical competence to the forefront Requirements
The ideal applicant will be a skilled IstructE Chartered Structural Engineer and:
Degree qualified
Chartered with IstructE
High level of technical competency
Buildings-oriented
Familiar with BIM and Revit
Experienced managing a team
Thrives in a busy, bustling environment
Experienced in business development (desirable but not essential)
Familiar with Data centres (desirable but not essential) What's in it for me?

There is plenty of interesting work to get involved in, with a healthy and stable future pipeline secured through a number of frameworks. Valuing their people above all else, the team are directly involved in shaping and directing the business, with ample training, support and recognition provided along the way. They have well-equipped offices, conveniently located within proximity to public transport links and local amenities, with parking also available on site.
