Job Title: Senior to Principal Structural Engineer
Location: Exeter
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior to Principal Structural Engineer with a strong foundation in structural engineering and a proven track record across both public and private sectors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading projects, mentoring junior team members, and implementing sustainable, technically sound solutions in line with Eurocodes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Collaborate with Directors to allocate resources effectively, ensuring timely project delivery within budget.
·Guide project design from concept to completion, meeting British Standards, Building Regulations, and client requirements.
·Attend client meetings, manage client relationships, and oversee project operations, including site visits and inspections.
·Support team development through mentoring and quality review of junior engineers' work.
·Assist in budgeting, scheduling, and monitoring project costs, including managing any changes.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
·Education & Certification: BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering; Chartered member of IStructE or equivalent (or extensive experience).
·Technical Skills: Skilled in AutoCAD, Tekla, and experienced with British Standards/Eurocodes
·Leadership: Proven ability to manage projects, supervise junior staff, and ensure quality.
·Project Delivery: Experience in delivering projects across sectors, including residential, healthcare, and education.
