We're looking for an EHS Engineer to work as part of the EHS Department. The ideal Candidate will support the safety systems at AESC UK, to ensure they always run safely and efficiently, and to maintain and control an effective system along with any other reasonable task requested by the EHS Senior Manager.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior EHS Manager EHS Engineer will support the business to ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated. Being a key part of the new Giga plant build, the successful candidate will review risk assessments for all work equipment and operations and ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated, and recommended improvements implemented. Support delivery of site inductions and aid the best practices in and around EHS.
The EHS Engineer will ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities. The EHS Engineer will manage & maintain Health & Safety training records and liaise with external health & safety consultants in the provision of specific training programs and health and safety services and support the safe disposal of the company's waste streams and keep accurate records as required.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
To be considered for the role of Health and Safety Advisor, ideally you will have a suitable 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline and at least 5 years' experience in a similar role. Preferably you will have a relevant health and safety Diploma or Certificate. Experience in COMAH industries would be preferred but not a pre-requisite but, a proven track record in EHS is required.
