Structural Engineer
Heritage & Conservation
London
Up to £60,000 plus bonus
So, you're a Structural Engineer working in London. You've been exposed to a range of projects - a mix of new-build and refurbishment. Nothing wrong with that. But your passion really lies in working with existing structures. Adaptive reuse, conservation of listed buildings.
Buildings and structures steeped in history that deserve care and attention.
You want to work on the most iconic buildings. Buildings with significant historical and cultural significance. Buildings that are recognised not only in London, but are familiar to millions around the globe.
From high-profile restoration projects with the National Trust, to working on iconic features of the London skyline (think St. Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Royal Albert Hall to name a few), you'll have the chance to re-imagine some of the most high-profile buildings in the capital.
Working at Conisbee, you'll be able to impact projects like these on a daily basis, taking your focus on sustainable design and conservation knowledge to the next level.
The team of eight is currently led by a Director and CARE-accredited engineer, and they've created the opportunity for you to come in at Senior or Principal level and progress your career towards Associate and beyond.
Support is very much on-hand if you're looking to become CARE-accredited yourself, or if you're interested in the RSA, or other organisations linked to cultural heritage (ICOMOS, ICARSAH etc.), here's your chance to work alongside like-minded structural engineers. Structural engineers who share your passion for existing and historic buildings.
Hybrid working is standard, and you'll be trusted to run your own iconic projects as you put your name next to buildings that thousands of people walk past and look up at on a daily basis.
If you have a minimum of 3 years' experience in structural design, with specific exposure to existing buildings, I'd love to hear from you. Get in touch with Darryl Yates at Flux Consulting today on (phone number removed), or email me at (url removed).
