Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Alexander Associates are currently working with a renowned engineering consultancy that are looking to grow their Birmingham office with a Senior Structural Engineer who comes from a building structures background. Our client has a global presence and a rich history of landmark projects across the world.

A growing pipeline of work heading into 2025 has created a necessity for them to bolster their design team with a Senior Structural Engineer that shares their passion for engineering excellence.

The Senior Structural Engineer will be part of a highly skilled team of Engineers and Technicians delivering mission critical projects across the business. You will have autonomy to drive projects your way with full support from the company and senior colleagues.

Responsibilities as a Senior Structural Engineer:

• Managing project delivery and coordinating internal resource
• Undertaking structural design, calculations and analysis for new and existing structures
• Attending internal and external client project meetings
• Checking designs, calculations and specifications produced by the team
• Providing training and mentorship to junior members of the team

Skills & Qualifications:

• MEng degree level (or equivalent)
• Chartered or close to obtaining this status
• Familiar with common structural software's including Tekla, Robot and Tedds
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
