The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) is seeking a Director, Airport Development – Project Delivery, a key leadership role responsible for executing a wide range of aviation-related projects and programs across the MAC airport system. This position leads the administration and successful delivery of development projects as part of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) and the Reliever Airports. The Director will oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and execution, ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with the Airport Development Director of Project Initiation, Senior Airport Planner, Grants Manager, and other key stakeholders, such as the MAC Building Official and the Environmental Affairs Department, to ensure seamless project execution. The Director will oversee the administration of construction contracts, consultant agreements, and invoices, ensuring projects remain within budget and are completed on schedule. The role also includes supervising Airport Development staff, preparing the annual department budget, and working closely with the Vice President to set strategic goals for the department.

The Director is responsible for the preparation and review of design plans and specifications, ensuring that all construction issues are addressed during the design phase and that the projects meet the MAC’s Design and Construction Standards. In addition, the Director will manage project budgets, ensure environmental compliance, and present progress reports to the Commission.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex, large-scale construction projects, including airport facilities, infrastructure, and multibuilding campuses. Strong leadership, budget management, and project oversight skills are essential.
