Job Role: Water Testing Engineer
Location: Southampton
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + company vehicle, fuel card and benefits.
Join Our Client's Team as a Water Testing Engineer!
Are you passionate about water quality and ensuring safe, reliable water supplies? We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Water Testing Engineer to join our client's team. As a Water Testing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in testing, chlorinating, and sampling water systems for water networks across Southampton.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing team, ensuring that the infrastructure supporting local communities meets the highest standards for safety and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
• Always exercise safe working practices in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), wearing the correct PPE at all times.
• Test, chlorinate and sample water infrastructure as instructed working to IWNL and other water authority Codes of Practice, ensuring that all work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical quality by following all appropriate generic and specific method statements, work procedures and safety instructions.
• Have a full and comprehensive understanding of all incumbent and IWNL testing, chlorinating, and sampling procedures.
• Complete testing and commissioning activity to enable completion of Final Connections.
• Complete testing and commissioning activity to enable completion of Secondary Connections (complex and non-complex)
• Accept delivery of plant and materials and check fitness for purpose prior to use.
• Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment remain in good condition, and report any defects to the Project Manager
• Identify at an early stage all contract variations and report to the Project Manager and work in accordance with the company Variation and Deviations Procedure.
• Complete site-specific risk assessments daily and ensure maintenance of a safe working environment.
• Attend "toolbox talks" and other training courses as required.
• Record accurately details of work undertaken.
• Submit relevant work details for recording and invoicing in the required timescale.

- SHEA Water
- EUSR Qualification
- Experience of pressure testing, chlorination, and sampling.
- Full driving license.
