This is a technical engineering role. The candidate will require to have some knowledge of radio network communication and computer systems and demonstrate the ability to interrogate and investigate any issues identified.
Location: Flexible working, with travel to Arqiva office or our clients office when required required.

Accountabilities:
• Install, test, analyse, troubleshoot and modify new equipment/solutions to achieve maximum performance and availability
• Provide technical knowledge to the development and deployment of service infrastructure, driving improved technical and service performance (meters, smartpoints, sensors and other water products)
• Design and drive processes to facilitate smooth and seamless deployment of new services and products within Water environments
• Supervise the delivery of 3rd party suppliers and contractors to ensure that delivery specifications and standards meet Arqiva requirements
• Standardise equipment to minimise disruption and achieve straightforward integration with existing networks/infrastructure
• Document engineering build procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of these policies, processes and procedures
• Contribute to accurate forecasting and capacity management
• Support and drive innovation, both small and large, into and through the business; deploy and evidence with outcomes, a continuous improvement (CI) mind-set
• View and provide solutions with a commercial perspective optimising returns on investments made in assets and tools
• Water RNI Platform support engineer ensuring all changes and system updates are applied
• Support internal teams and external Customers/Suppliers in the review and the implementation of customer requirements
Qualifications:
• Either (A Higher Education or professional qualification in a relevant discipline) or relevant experience - Computer Science/Digital Telecommunications is desirable
Required Expertise:
• Experience of designing, and implementation for the testing of IT systems or networks
• Experience in digital radio technology or AMI/AMR solutions
• Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers -developing new services/capabilities and driving them to resolve and fix functionality issues and errors.
• Experience of technical standards and engineering practices.
• Experience of managing or using a data management system(s)
Required Technical / Professional Skillset(s
• Knowledge of technologies involved in utility data collection
• Ability to process, evaluate and use data to problem solve
• Good practical understanding of MSSQL, write and run scripts / queries to support fault investigation / analysis
• Radio Access Networks (Sensus), Software, OSS (ComArc), Comms Hubs (EDMI)).
• Understanding of Sensus Flexnet Protocol and Standard Water metering Protocols
