A dynamic and forward-thinking engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Cardiff. Known for delivering innovative solutions across various sectors, this consultancy offers an opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects while mentoring junior team members and supporting leadership.
The Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, the successful candidate will:
Take a leading role in structural design projects, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to standards.
Collaborate with clients, project teams, and external stakeholders, representing the company professionally in meetings and on-site.
Utilise software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, AutoCAD, and REVIT for design and analysis.
Manage resources effectively to meet project deadlines and support junior engineers through mentoring. Requirements
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
A degree (MEng, BEng, or equivalent) in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Chartered with ICE or IStructE is preferred (or working towards it)
A minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering.
Strong technical knowledge of structural codes, standards, and analysis methods.
Proficiency with design software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, REVIT) and excellent report-writing skills.
Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. What's in it for me?
