Are you a Chartered/Nearly Chartered Structural Engineer seeking a dynamic opportunity in Edinburgh? Our client, a leading firm in the field, is offering an exciting position for an experienced professional to join their team. If you're passionate about tackling diverse and stimulating projects, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage resources to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Deliver high-quality designs, drawings, and reports for new build and refurbishment projects
  • Utilise engineering materials such as concrete, steel, masonry, timber, etc., along with soil mechanics, foundations, and drainage principles
  • Apply Eurocodes, British Standards, and current Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
  • Conduct thorough site investigations, inspections, and resolve issues as needed
  • Oversee project design from initiation to completion
  • Represent the company at design team meetings
  • Mentor and support junior Engineers and Technicians
  • Engage in Continuing Professional Development and maintain relevant records
  • Prioritise clear communication regarding structural safety within the team
  • Contribute to Business Development initiatives


Background:
  • Bachelor's degree (BSc/BEng) or equivalent from an ICE approved course
  • Chartered Membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers and/or the Institution of Civil Engineers
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla & Robot - beneficial
  • SER Registration - beneficial
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
