We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer to support civil engineering projects, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency. The role requires a hands-on engineer with expertise in Earthworks, Roads & Sewers, and Housing Plotworks up to DPC. Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer to support civil engineering projects, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency. The role requires a hands-on engineer with expertise in Earthworks, Roads & Sewers, and Housing Plotworks up to DPC. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, exceptional problem-solving skills, and experience with modern setting-out techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Setting Out and Surveying:
- Conduct all setting-out duties associated with civil works, including Earthworks, Roads & Sewers, and Plotworks up to DPC.
- Utilize total station equipment for precise setting out and demonstrate an understanding of machine control applications.
- Perform as-built surveys and prepare accurate records of completed works.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with Site Managers, clients, and designer engineers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide regular updates on progress and resolve technical issues in collaboration with the site team.
Quality Control and Handover Packages:
- Assist with quality control measures to ensure that all works meet project specifications and standards.
- Prepare handover packages for the directly employed workforce and assist in supervising their implementation.
IT and Documentation:
- Use IT tools such as Word, Excel, and project management software to manage reports, drawings, and handover documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in civil engineering with expertise in Earthworks, Roads & Sewers, and Housing Plotworks up to DPC.
- Proficiency in using total station equipment and familiarity with machine control applications.
- Strong understanding of setting-out techniques and as-built surveying.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and relevant project management tools.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with clients, site teams, and designer engineers.
- A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience in civil engineering.
