Job Details
To plan, organize, direct, manage, and participate in the development, review, and approval of complex engineering and transportation planning, traffic engineering, and land development activities including, but not limited to, all aspects of the development of infrastructure/capital improvements and special projects, permitting, and conditioning new development and overseeing the administration of infrastructure systems; to provide complex and advanced level professional engineering support involving research, planning, design, and construction of various land development, infrastructure planning, and engineering projects; and to perform related work.
Current vacancy is in the Design Section of the Engineering Department. This position has a primary focus on program and project management of the design projects within the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Additionally, we are seeking candidates with substantive and significant programmatic responsibility in the engineering design process, including research, conceptualization, establishing design requirements and detailed design for various projects.
Salary: $12,243.03 - $14,881.51
Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: five years of increasingly responsible experience in civil engineering design, construction, surveying or a related field, including two years of supervisory responsibility and equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
License or Certificate: Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Professional Civil Engineer issued by the State of California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
