Immediate opening for an Associate Research Scientist with Professor Marianna Maiaru at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering & Applied Science, Department of Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics. Working for the Principal Investigator for the ICME: Optimization of Advanced Components of the Aurora D8 project, the successful candidate will conduct leading-edge research in ICME, computational and experimental mechanics for composite structures, with the following responsibilities:
- Developing numerical models for process modeling of fiber-reinforced composite structures
- Developing experimental techniques to advance process modeling of fiber-reinforced composite structures
- Reports and manuscripts writing, weekly meeting and project dissemination
- PhD student mentoring
- Grant writing
