Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join their team, focusing on the design aspects of water infrastructure projects. This role involves contributing to the AMP8 programme, designing innovative and effective solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities. You will be responsible for developing civil design layouts, ensuring they meet specifications, and facilitating effective construction and commissioning. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, adherence to departmental processes, and maintaining thorough documentation throughout project lifecycles.
Skills:
• Civil Engineering degree
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment design
• Knowledge of hydraulic design
• Proficiency in producing detailed design calculations and reports
• Familiarity with BIM protocols and 3D modelling
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to mentor and support junior engineers
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Innovative and proactive problem-solving abilities
Software/Tools:
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Hydraulic modelling software
• BIM software (e.g., Revit)
Certifications & Standards:
• Familiarity with relevant British Standards and water industry specifications
