We are currently seeking a motivated Graduate Structural Engineer to join a thriving Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy in Lincoln. This exciting role offers a variety of tasks, combining site inspections with office-based design work. The successful candidate will enjoy working both on-site and applying their technical expertise to calculations, design, and CAD work in the office.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, your duties will include:

Conducting site inspections of lifeline systems (fall protection systems) installed in industries such as steelworks, power plants, and docks
Designing and evaluating new height safety systems, including structural design for steelwork, brackets, and supporting structures
Assessing existing structures to ensure they can support the loads of lifeline systems
Inspecting lifeline systems installed over the past 25 years at various UK locations
Working on the renovation and repair of complex Victorian-era structures and funicular railways, including necessary strengthening and repair works
Producing detailed designs and CAD drawings based on site measurements and design calculations
Collaborating with the team to ensure on-site works are carried out successfully and in line with safety and engineering standardsRequired Skills and Experience:
The ideal Graduate Structural Engineer will have:

A 2:1 or higher in MEng, BEng, BSc, or a related Civil or Structural Engineering degree
Knowledge of steelwork design, brackets, and support structures
Experience with lifeline systems or similar safety installations (preferred)
Familiarity with the renovation or repair of complex structures is a plus
Strong planning and design management skills to ensure smooth site operations
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesWorking Hours & Benefits:

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am - 2:30 pm (36 hours per week)
Lunch Breaks: 60 minutes Monday to Thursday, 30 minutes on Fridays
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days per year plus bank holidays, accrued on a pro-rata basis
Pension: 4% company contribution to pension scheme
Transport: Company-provided car or van for site travel
