As things ramp up towards the start of AMP 8 we have various civil engineering opportunities (perm and contract) with our Tier 1 clients in the UK water industry!
Job Title: Civil Design Engineer (Senior/Principal/Lead)
Location: Various offices across the UK
Working Type: Hybrid - both permanent and contract opportunities
Salary/Day Rate: Dependant on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Analysis:
- Take water and wastewater projects through the full design lifecycle (cradle to grave)
- Perform hydraulic modelling and calculations for water supply, drainage, and sewer networks.
- Conduct site feasibility studies and surveys when required
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and project specifications.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site visits and inspections.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Professional accreditation or working towards chartership (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
- Proven experience in designing water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, InfoWorks, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations of the UK water industry
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working on projects for water utility companies or public authorities.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in water engineering.
- Mentoring jr staff
