ML48- Structural Engineer.Salary: £30,000- £40,000.Location: Oxford.Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Structural Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Production of structural engineering work packages from initial concept through to completion.
  • Production of calculations packages for Building Control submission.
  • Undertaking survey inspections and producing written reports in good English on findings, set out in a logical manner with appropriate recommendations.
  • Working closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Representing the company at external meetings with clients, contractors, and fellow professionals.
  • Delivering work to a fee and to timescales agreed.
  • Preparing client/project proposals.
  • Agreeing design philosophy/design fundamentals.

Skills and qualifications:
  • Be a graduate with a degree or equivalent in civil or structural engineering.
  • Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers.
  • Evidence of design office experience, which will be discussed at the interview.
  • A good understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in the use of design software such as Tekla, Tedds, SCIA, and Masterseries.
  • Familiarity with drawing packages, including Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English.
  • Hold a current UK driving licence.

Salary: £30,000- £40,000.Location: Oxford.
