Since then, we have been working with EDF ( French Electricity Producer ). We are involved in several nuclear projects, including FA3 EPR (France), the French fleet, Taishan EPR (China), Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.

SUITABLE CANDIDATE
You enjoy analising concrete problems, finding solutions and then setting them up.
Getting involved in significant industrial and engineering projects involving very demanding precautions as regards industrial safety captivates you.
Your good analytical skills, sense of logic, aptitude for synthesizing and your scientific knowledge will allow you to adapt quickly to multi-system environments.

THE ROLE
As Contract Engineering Lead, you will be in charge of the civil activities for the New Buildings of the Project.
You will be responsible for the management of multiple civil engineering design contracts for the Project. They will be ultimately responsible to provide the technical specifications and to ensure that they are in line with the contract holder. You will report to the Project's Civil Team lead.
Other interfaces within the client will include those with civil engineers, scheduling and cost control teams. It will include working with associated contract holder, but also with the Responsible Designer's Project Management Office (PMO), procurement department and potentially legal teams. Interfaces will also exist with different entities with the client organisation.
You will be in charge of the main following activities in the New Buildings Team:

Related to the Contract Engineering leading:
You will be in interaction with the civil teams, the members of the civil program team, the Client organisation, and the stakeholders.
During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects.
This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other types of equipment or projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.

Related to Technical activities:
- Technical support with building specific civil-related topics requiring a good level of expertise in Design. This may imply production of specific deliverables, participation in meetings, review of documents produced by others (internal or external stakeholders).
- Leading technical specifications reviews and surveillance.
- Contribute and participate in lessons learnt process linked to their field of responsibilities.
Related to the Contract Engineering leading:
- Ensuring the specifications are followed by the contract holder.
- Managing the technical surveillance of studies.
- Establish surveillance programme(s) and annual surveillance reports.
- Managing the resolution of contractor technical queries.
- Organise and run weekly and monthly progress meetings.
- Develop and improve contracts tools.
- Lead contractual discussions and clarifications.
- Liaison with different entities from the client organisation.
- Recording and sharing lessons learnt from everyday activities for the benefit of others on the project.
- Implementation of lessons learnt from previous projects and other contracts.
You will be in interaction with the civil teams, the members of the civil program team, the Client organisation, and the stakeholders.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Knowledge and understanding of the Codes & Standards on CW.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations.
- Experience working on an EPR project, operating nuclear power plant or on an industrial site.
- Knowledge of the UK Projects civil engineering design sequence would be an advantage.
- Good organisational skills, ability to effectively manage own workload in order to meet commitments and respect deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to deal with different stakeholders.
- French-speaking would be an advantage.
