The Role

As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will:

• Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring design excellence.
• Manage client relationships, fee proposals, and invoicing.
• Supervise and mentor a small team of engineers.
• Conduct site inspections, surveys, and produce high-quality technical reports.
• Oversee temporary works design, including steelwork connections and glass structures.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver innovative structural solutions.
• Contribute to business development, with the opportunity to win new projects and participate in the Associate Bonus Scheme.

What You'll Bring

• Chartered Engineer (CEng, MIStructE or MICE), or Senior Engineer nearing Chartered status.
• 6-7+ years of experience within a structural engineering consultancy, delivering projects of similar complexity.
• Proficiency in:
• Reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry, and timber structures.
• Structural glass design.
• Steelwork connection design and detailing.
• Temporary works design.
• Strong letter and report writing skills.
• Experience conducting site inspections and surveys.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills, with a focus on client relationships and commercial awareness.
