Lead Gas Engineer Pipelines
Our Role
Colleagues working within Cadents Pipeline and Plant Protection process are responsible for the operation and maintenance of our pipelines and associated above ground assets including but not limited to mechanical operations, plant protection, and condition monitoring.
Customer engagement is important with a requirement to confidently communicate to various stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure our assets remain safe and secure.
Demonstrating flexibility Operatives work with minimal supervision but as part of a multi-faceted team of professionals - having a keen eye for detail they ensure that safe working is maintained within the vicinity of our gas network and that all maintenance and records are up to date and accurate. This is a complex environment where it is key to ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed.
Previous Experience
Were looking for people who act with pride, purpose and ownership to join us, along with:
A Mechanical or Engineering Maintenance qualification (or similar) ideally NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
Knowledge of pipeline maintenance, plant protection techniques or previous utilities working experience is desirable
Strong communication and customer engagement experience
Strong IT literacy
Willing to work flexible hours total hours will be based on 42 per week however this is subject to change dependent on business needs Willing to work on standby
This role will involve frequent travel and therefore a full valid UK driving licence is required.
