Performs a variety of engineering functions and tasks from assisting Utility Division with Repair & Replacement (R&R) related due diligences to coordinating infrastructure with developers through all the different steps of their projects. Incumbent prepares scope of works for RR, assists City Procurement department to get the RR good and/or services, reviews and comments on drawings prepared by designers and inspection of construction for RR and developers projects, and ensures compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Prepare sketches, designs concept, and proposes specifications; conducts plans review; performs customer services functions; prepares legal documents; coordinates with other Divisions as needed; prepares and processes required reports and records; etc. May oversee the work of Engineer I’s. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or other relevant engineering discipline and Professional engineering certification from the State of Florida and 6 years of experience in the design and construction projects, to include 3 years supervising professional engineering functions; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license with satisfactory driving record held throughout employment.
- Must possess computer skills with proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, as well as department-specific computer systems and programs.
