The City Engineer is expected to lead a team that is customer-based, performance-driven, results-oriented, and focused on finding the answer, solving the problem, and achieving positive outcomes. The City Engineer plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, and reviews the work of professional, technical, and administrative staff performing difficult and complex support related to all programs and activities of the Engineering Division. The City Engineer also plays an important role with our regional partners – exhibiting leadership and collaboration in building relationships and achieving regional solutions while representing the City and advocating for our local values and priorities. The new City Engineer will join a high performing and highly responsive senior management team with varying levels of experience. This position will lead the division in providing responsive, cost effective, and innovative local government services through a collaborative effort with other departments and the community to make Wilsonville a city of the highest quality.

Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or a related engineering field and six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in professional engineering design, plan review, and project administration experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Required Certifications/Licenses: Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Possession of a Professional Engineer license to practice in the State of Oregon. P.E.s from out of state will be given six months to obtain Oregon registration.
