Sanitary and Surface Water Management Division Manager Public Works Department
The Sanitary and Surface Water Management Division Manager is a key member of the Public Works Department’s Senior Leadership Team. This position acts as a strategic partner working closely with the other members of the team to ensure agency, department, and division goals are met. The Sanitary and Surface Water Management Division Manager plans and oversees the staff, processes, functions, and budgeting for Sanitary Sewer and Surface Water Management. Leadership responsibilities include supervising staff which includes conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training for professional development; and implementing hiring, and potential discipline and termination procedures. The successful candidate should be a champion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and actively model behaviors that support diverse employees and people of historically marginalized backgrounds.
Acceptable Experience and Training
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or closely related field; and 5 years of related experience including 2 years of supervisory experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- Valid Driver’s License and a safe driving record
- Licensing as a Professional Engineer is preferred but not required of the position
