Siefert Associates, LLC is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who will serve as the engineering lead and job manager on all geotechnical projects in the company. Example projects include, but are not limited to, support of excavation – sheet piling, soldier piling, soil anchors, etc., cofferdams, slope stability – roadway embankments and soil slopes, retaining walls (GRES, concrete, masonry), pavement structures, pile foundations and shallow foundations, geotechnical investigations (bridges, buildings, embankments), waterfront structures, support and protection of utility structures, and geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring services.
Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for mentoring lower level employees, including mid-level and junior geotechnical engineering staff.
Experience (10+ years) – with previous experience in Project Management role
Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in CT or NY
Experience in all types of subsurface explorations, laboratory testing, foundation engineering, analysis, engineering report writing, and design proposals/estimating
Strong client relationships & verbal/written communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must – including the ability to create and foster strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively, in a team setting, with both co-workers and clients, from diverse engineering and construction backgrounds.
