The Controller will direct all financial aspects of CVL of Colorado’s business including: Managing cash flow, accounts payable and accounts receivable Directing the monthly billing calendar schedule and activities including invoicing Optimizing billing system progress reporting tools for project managers Maintaining and continuously assessing effectiveness of billing software Managing backlog reports and revenue projections Apprising shareholders and department managers of financial issues and opportunities for performance improvement Preparing and present monthly and annual financial statements and general ledgers Managing CVL’s relationship with outside payroll service Maintaining proper controls to ensure safeguarding of corporate assets Maintaining professional liability and other insurances for the company Maintaining the health insurance program and retirement plan for the corporation Overseeing 401K plan and coordinate with plan provider on behalf of CVL Working with the Chief Executive Officer to establish and maintain banking relationships Working with outside consultants to manage annual financial reviews and tax returns
BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance 15 years of progressive experience in professional services firm accounting, including 5 years as Controller Motivated self-starter with multi-tasking capabilities and a strong desire to succeed individually and as a team Excellent written and oral communication skills and polished professional and people skills Impressive ability to communicate with and present to in-house management and staff members Impeccable and continuously demonstrated organization skills Deep knowledge of spreadsheets and excellent computer capabilities Experience with Ajera accounting software or similar
