Intern - Engineering: This is a paid internship with Sarasota County Government's Public Works/Transportation Department collecting roadway conditions and entering them into the Pavement Management program. Successful candidates will earn valuable, hands-on experience working directly with a team of Professional Engineers.
Collect roadway conditions, bridge conditions or bicycle/pedestrian access conditions and enter them into Pavement Management program, Bridge Asset Management program (BAMP) or Bicycle/Pedestrian Access program.
Assist the coordination of capital projects data collection and update them into Cartegraph or Excel spreadsheets.
Administrative functions as needed.
Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a 4-5 year Civil Engineering or Urban Planning program at a University or College
At least 1 year of college completed
Experience using Cartegraph and/or ArcGIS software preferred
Engineering Intern (E.I) preferred
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, must be flexible.
Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
