Champion Charter Sales & Service, a division of Champion, Inc. is seeking an experienced Outside Salesperson to work out of its Fridley, Minnesota location.
Champion Charter, serving the Michigan, Minnesota, Dakotas and Wisconsin areas since 1946, is an equipment distributor that focuses on mining and aggregate industries. Our portfolio focuses on wear materials for these industries. We also represent manufacturers in pumps, valves, refractory, conveyors, conveyor accessories, and crushing equipment to provide intelligent solutions to business challenges.
This position will be responsible for completing sales and promoting key vendors and manufactures in the territory. The territory consists of but not limited to, Central & Western Wisconsin, Central and Southern Minnesota, Eastern North/South Dakota, and Northern Iowa & Illinois. To be successful in this position, a proven record of successful sales growth, relationship building and sales team growth is a necessity. Overnight travel within the territory is required. A company vehicle, gas card, business expense card, cell phone, and computer are provided.
The ideal candidate would possess a minimum of 4 years in direct outside sales of aggregate, iron ore mining, or frac sand mining equipment. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus. In Lieu of having the sales experience above, work experience in the industries that we call on would also greatly benefit the ideal candidate. Sales planning will be a requirement and they will be responsible for developing, presenting, implementing, and completing their plan on a continuing basis.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate and discuss their ability to call plan, along with demonstrating the use of a sales process/system for prospecting, developing, maintaining and growing sales within a territory.
