Lead the Culligan Product Registration process to obtain domestic and international product registrations and certifications to enable worldwide sale of the company’s water treatment product line. Act as the primary contact with all certification entities, regulatory agencies and independent laboratories including: WQA, UL, NSF, DLS, and others. Work cross-functionally with Product Development, R&D, Marketing and Sourcing functions to assure product compliance and promote-ability.
Specific Job Function:
Identify regulatory and product registration needs and requirements for new products
Assemble specific data and prepare product certification applications, supporting documentation, and physical samples for submission to independent testing laboratories. (WQA, UL, NSF, and International Entities)
Coordinate testing (pre-submittal qualification testing in the Culligan lab, and testing at the certifying entities), and serve as technical liaison to obtain approvals.
Prepare and submit registration applications to state or county agencies to obtain appropriate product registrations. Track status and respond to technical requirements to assure timely completion of the registration process.
Work with Product Management, Marketing, and other functions to understand timelines and requirements for new product introductions, and assure continued compliance with existing product lines.
Work with 3rd party suppliers and our overseas manufacturers to coordinate or complete necessary certifications and registrations, and ongoing inspections. Resolve non-compliance findings expeditiously.
Maintain regulatory project schedules and report on certification status.
Maintain company databases for product registrations and processes.
Provide regulatory related technical support and feedback to various internal and external functions involved with new product development and roll out.
Job Requirements:
BS Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years experience with US and international product registration/regulatory affairs
Possess an good understanding of regulatory processes
Possess excellent organizational skills, and written & verbal communication skills.
Ability to problem solve complex issues
Knowledge of water treatment industry, and/or experience working with UL, NSF, WQA related testing procedures is a desired.
CWS certification through WQA is a plus.
Some travel is required, up to 10%
