The firm focuses on the structural design of buildings utilizing concrete, steel, masonry, and timber construction. Work entails design of new, low rise structures, additions, renovations, and modifications necessary for the addition of such elements as elevators, new HVAC equipment, and reconfiguration to accommodate modification of occupancy.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Site visits to observe and measure existing conditions when existing drawings are not available. Ability to climb step ladders is important.
Design of structural elements as deemed necessary by either the Architect or Owner.
Preparation of sketches to be drafted by the in-house drafting department. Review of the drawings produced.
Contact with the client and coordination to insure that the project requirements are being met.
Review of shop drawings and other submittals.
Site visits during construction to verify compliance with the design documents.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis, ABET accredited)
Desire to work toward a PE license.
A minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Good communication skills both oral and written is essential.
Working knowledge of computer design programs such as RAM, Enercalc, StruCalc, with experience in AutoCad a plus.
Candidates will be expected to appear for an interview which may be scheduled at a mutually convenient time.
